She’s a charmer, and certainly makes an impression coming out of the gate, but does she have the talent to back it up?

Well, her name is “Panda.” This causes some scratching of heads, but she assures the judges that indeed Panda is her real name and explains how it’s “like the bear.” This churns on the laughs, but it’s her description of how she got the name that made the judges cringe. Apparently her mom was in prison, her cellmate was a white lady, so…somehow Panda was decided upon between the two of them! Well, she certainly is mounting up the pressure for a good performance. She’s got the charm and everyone is hoping that Panda is the in fact the real deal when it comes to singing.

Both the judges and the audience are delightfully relieved to find out that Panda is truly the real deal! A powerful voice and a performance which causes the audience to stand up and clap. Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home” was her song of choice and she certainly brought it with her memorable performance and personality. So strong that Simon even gave her potential “legend” status with the comment he made!
